I work in an optical lab and make glasses all day. Well the other day I found a huge broken chunk of lens in the generator. I took it out and put it aside till today. While we were slow I roughed it up a bit and then tinted it pinkish purple. Makes a nice looking raw energon substitute. Here are some pics:

    Well lit and bright

Like I said I work in an optical lab. I make Eye glasses. When you need to make a certain prescription you use an uncut lens (big hunk of lens) and put it on the generator. It will then cut it down to the proper prescription. I guess a chunk of a blank broke off somehow.

There is a wheel where we bevel (basically smooth off a sharp edge) the edges of a lens before putting it in a frame. I ran it up and down on the edge of the wheel to rough up the sides so it wasn't so smooth and transparent.

Then I just stuck it in the tint and made it purple/pink colored.

Since I made that I've kinda wanted to "accidentally" break/smash a complete lense to make more. Is that wrong? Is it wrong to want to destroy to create art?

I'd reimburse your employer for supplies... But other than that, go for it.
