Much like fellow beast-bot Scorponok, it's logical to guess that Ravage might not transform at all in the movie. However, he might as well have some kind of alternate mode, even if only on the ty and as awful as Scorponok's. We've seen that Soundwave's toy has a Ravage missile, and Ravage is geting a deluxe toy as well; do you think Ravage's transformation could just be to fold up ino a missile? Something else? I apologize if this is in the wrong section, maybe it should have gone in the toy section, so pease move it if it should be there. I think this is an interesting question to consider though.
somebody mention in an older thread that his face looked like one of those un-manned spy plane things, and that there could have been some on the carriers they hit.
In Scorponok's defense, he did have an alt mode that wasn't seen in the film, since it was an engine for the helicopter that Blackout turned into.
We know Ravage is definitely a missile, as we've seen the toy packaging. Does that mean he can have a limited flight mode?
I remember hearing speculations that he's a black car or truck, since there was a figure seen of just that (the car I mean).
I've heard a projectile of sorts, and I've also heard one of those three-wheeled doodads seen around set.
This. I just dont want Hasbro to give him a robot mode, unless he has one seen in the movie. It would be something like his BW counterpart. The Scorponok toy sucked because because they gave him that ugly robot mode. Yes, I know they gave him a robot mode because selling him under the name Transformers without a robot mode would be stupid. But if they want to give him a proper robot mode in this film, I'm all for it, it would be interesting to see what they can do.
Personally, I believe it'll be a Can-Am Spyder. There were matte-black ones seen on set in the early production shots, so it may make sense.
Well in fairness the deluxe toy didn't suck because of the robot mode. It sucked because the turbine gimmick tied up the whole freaking torso and prevented any massive parts changing.I thought the legends toy did fine since it didn't have this issues With out the gimmick we could have gotten better defined legs and maybe a robot mode head
The toy has to have a different alt mode to that of a missile. I saw ther argument somewhere else on here that a toy of Soundwave turning only into a satellite would be boring for kids. The same is true of a Ravage toy that is only a missile in alt mode. Now, if there's going to a Leader-class Soundwave that can fire Deluxe Ravage in alt mode, that would be something.
To bad it wont happen though... Anyone wanna make a pettion to Hasbro for a Leader Class Starscream and Soundwave?
In spite of it never happening, it would be enormously cool to have a Leader Starscream and a Leader Soundwave capable of firing Deluxe Ravage in alt mode. I shouldn't have suggested it because now I really want them! It isn't like having different toy classes interact is anything new. Hasbro made Voyager Blackout able to attach with Deluxe Scorponok in the last movie toyline. Granted the attachment only made Blackout's propeller and Scorponok's claws rotate but it's still there.
I think I'll be pretty content with the remold of Voyager Starscream (though a leader would be a nice luxury).....but a Leader Class Soundwave that launches a deluxe class ravage would be awesome.
I too am content with the new remold of Starscream. His hands with cannon kind of reming me a reimagined Cylon Centurion, but I can get over that without much difficulty. I was hoping for a Leader of him this time around -- a pipe dream, I know. Would it really be that bad to have four Leaders instead of three?
