I couldn't see if there was a TM or ® on the card.

I asked the seller for close-up pictures.....but he said he didn't have time to send more pictures.

*Good thing he only ships to the U.S.A.*:confused2

Actually, the KOs are always the with rubsign versions.

I can't see in the picture, what I need to see, to tell if they are fake!

I think it's just hard to see the TM because of the angle that the camera caught?

nah I can 'clearly' see a circle so it has to be the (R) version

Trust me, I'm familiar with MG's guides.

    Differences That SOMETIMES Work

The actual Rumble figure doesn't seem to follow the guidelines for being a fake. The rivets & hips look ok.

I can't see the details on the card, to tell if they are fakes.

Alright. Go for it then! :D  . Seriously I'd like to know the seller's answer. [edit] Are you saying that the seller confirmed that it's a TM ?

    I hope it's legit!

No, I just asked him after reading your thread. I'll post the seller's response.

    This is definitely authentic.

Look at Rumble, it doesn't have the aluminum-looking arm rivets and it doesn't have the black hips (they're red like they should be).

Further Ravage's metal legs aren't overly shiny.

You guys are basing this solely off of an "R" or "TM"? The KO site you link to shows all the signs of this being legit (screws are the right color, stickers are right, card fading is right, card printing is right, Ravage's legs are right) except for this small discrepancy that you can't even see.

That site even says in the section about having a "R" and no rubsign that there are exceptions. So why is this a debate still? If everything else matches up except for one discrepancy that you can't even see, it seems legit to me.

The AFA is legit, I looked up the serial number. It was graded in February 2005, right as some of these KOs were coming onto the market. So it is a possibility, if this was fake, that it could have slipped by AFA. That's happenned for quite a few figures in the past. However, like my previous post says - I think this is legit.

It definately has an "R" and not a "tm" on the copyright. Is there a possibility that *some* of these came as pre-rubs? or maybe there was a mistake at the factory and the rub signs got left off?

AFA are known to have mistakenly graded KOs and Chinese reissues in the past when they weren't aware of them. This is why I always check the grading date as the ones graded in 2009 are obviously more consistent than the ones graded in 2004 or so.

As for this particular item, the seller has added pictures and it appears to be legit so I guess it's one of the rare pre-rub with (R) card.

I think its far more likely that this is a rubsign release that just didnt (for whatever reason) have the rubsign put on rumble than it being a genuine pre-rub with the R. Either way its a bit risky for any serious pre-rub collector to chance

The positioning of "Evil Decepticon" in the Transformers logo is correct, so it looks legit to me. It's probably just a factory mistake that it's missing the rubsign.

^^^If MG says it's legit, it's 99% safe that it is. The man knows his KOs.
