I don't know if they rated the film yet or not, but what's your bet on what the rating will be? PG or PG-13? Frankly, I'm thinking it'll probably be within the lines of PG-13.

Don Murphy said something about it being PG-13.

Ya I'm pretty sure its going to be PG-13. As for Canada I'm thinking it might get a PG rating as the rating system tends to be a bit more lax here.

Three strikes rule. You can say "f***" three times before to go from PG-13 to an R.

Here in Australia, it'd PROBABLY be as PG as Harry Potter.
Swearing is less of an issue for Aussie censors then is overt violence, blood, and horror themes.

From that trailer, it'd be a strong PG or a weak M. More likely a PG given the logical release date, the same time as the US release makes it the middle of the Holidays.

Not true. Titanic had full frontal nudity and only got a PG-13.

Well, they anticipated the audience to be 99% female so rated it accordingly ;)

Okay, so the movie will be PG-13, for if Don Murphy said so and everybody else says that it's going to be, then cool. Probably because this movie is geared towards those who have seen Transformers in the 1980s, and that they didn't want to let everyone think that it's going to be some blockbuster kids movie.

That was my thought as well. W/ the whole - "we want family movie, but got to get away from kiddie-land idea", they've gotta go for PG13, cuz otherwise a lot of "older" viewers who didn't necessarily grow-up on TFG1, and parents, will blow it off - but since so many parents take pre-teens to PG13, esp if it's more for violence & occasional swearing than sex or drugs, then it shouldn't hurt their cash base any. I plan to take my 9 y/o nephew, since he LOVES LotR, and similar - and my 4 y/o is too young (tho i might see it a 2nd time w/ my son, if it doesn't suck too much).

If it's PG - it either baaarely squeaked in, or they toned down - and if the latter, it will suck worse than it might at this time.

Alternatively, TMNT is getting PG, just barely - and I believe the director said there may be a DVD cut that's PG13 - cuz the Turtles will use their weapons on the bad guys, which isn't allowed in PG (wth??)
