Let's put some numbers to speculation about which Transformers will be added to the sequel, on a scale from 1 (most likely) to 5 (possible but unlikely). My thoughts: DECEPTICONS Tidal Wave - 1 if Michael Bay signs on as director Seekers - 1 as above due to the need for jets for Tidal Wave Shockwave - 2 since he's the only "core" Decepticon (defined as "in G1, Animated, & a UT homage") absent Soundwave - 2 since they already tried two ways to work him in (Frenzy and Blackout) AUTOBOTS Arcee - 1 as her CGI has been confirmed as "sunk costs" by Hasbro Jetfire - 1 if we get Tidal Wave Prowl - 2 a "core" Autobot who's missing Tracks - 3 just for being a Chevy Corvette

I doubt we would see Prowl. Or if we did he wouldn’t be a cop car because they would be afraid some people would be confused if there where 2 cops.
barricade becomes prowl............he's been an autobot spy in the camp, thats why bumblebee didnt kill him when he had the chance to and thats why he just disappeared when prime showed up on the freeway
Designs for an Aircraft Carrier have been started, and there was a mention that Jazz may come back with a more robust body. There was an intrest in the Constructicons and Dinobots as well Barricade Vs Prowl would be pretty good =D
Why not? C'mon, Good Cop vs Bad Cop! Especially if we differentiate Prowl... make him a K9 unit, or a Highway Patrol (All white instead of Black & White) or some sort of different variety of cop car (RCMP? ) Then have him and Barricade throw down.
Prowl and Barricade would be a great way to play up the robots in disguise factor and help add to the confusion of the humans and perhaps lead to some mistrust - i.e. they mistake Barricade for Prowl etc.
Heres my thoughts Decpticons: 4-Rumble 2-Shockwave 3-insectitcons 4-tidal wave(he whould be awsome I'm not gonna lie) 1-Soundwave 5-Galavatron 2-Thundercracker/skywarp 2-Constructicons/other combinder team Autobots: 1-Arcee 2-wheeljack 3-Sunstreaker/sideswipe(I hope they end up in here) 3-Mirage 4-Prowl 2-Cliffjumper 6-wheelie(I know theres no six but still thats the only chances of him in the movie) 1-Jetfire 3-Ultra magnus
1 - Constructicons : if you hear it out of the mouth of producers, writers, or directors, there's a good chance of seeing it on screen. 1 - Dinobots: see above 1 - Broadside: Bay wanted an aircraft carrier, right? Also a chance to add a triple changer to the franchise and play off his funny bio (gets seasick, afraid of heights) 2 - Soundwave: such a huge fan favorite, he almost has to be worked in somehow. 2 - Jetfire: popular and a good complement to existing Autobots 3 - T'cracker/Skywarp: would make good cannon fodder for a sequel Additionally, I wouldn't be surprised to see more original characters like Barricade and Blackout.
Cons: Devastator-4 (why else would they change his name to Brawl..?) No Constructicons Thye just cant be, Devastator was a tank in the movie. unless that tank can break up into a bunch of little pieces, then no constructicons (and then the name constructicon woulnt even work). And if there were constructicons, who would they form, cant be devastator, and you cant change the final assembly's name that would just piss off a lot of people
Umm....you do know that the Devestator was just a typo right? He's actually Brawl, and they've said that they'll be fixing the typo for the DVD release. Edit: Welcome to the boards.
Movie Devastator was only called that because of an error. While the movie was in production many of the Decepticons were given fake placeholder names to help keep things under wraps. The tankformer we know as Brawl was called Devastator in the old script. Due to and error or misscommunication of somekind his name didn't get changed to Brawl. It'll likely be fixed on the DVD. We can still have a movie Devastator in TF2 because: 1) The name was a mistake and not cannon, 2) Not too any people will really remember the name of a random cannon fodder 'Con by the time TF2 comes out, and 3) Naming errors and continuity conflicts are just another wonderful part of Transformers.
I don't care just as long as we get sideswipe and sunstreaker, and sounwave. *is a huge sideswipe fan* And if they make a wheile type character he should be a frenzy type character for the bots. And a character named erector and windbreaker.
Ok, well... Constructicons- 1 They have been talked about and Brawl and Bonecrushers remains could have something to do with them coming back and would even clear the name problems. Soundwave- 1 Too much of a mainstay to keep away. Grimlock- 1 The Chemistry between him and Prime would be great. Why would he need to take a secret alt mode? He wouldn't care, he'd just stay a space dino! The movie producers CAN pull it off, since they did pull off a Gorilla Kite just fine. (I give thanks to KA for that Starscream nickname) Jetfire- 2 Introduce the 'bots to the air and take up Jazz's place as second in command. Ok, as far as the other Dinobots go, they might sound rediculous, but, I would kinda like it to go something like this. Prime and Megs are fighting in the final conflict of TF2, and Prime actually gets the upper hand (by fighting back, of all things). So, Megs calls on Devestator (or tells his fellow 'cons to combine, which you don't know they can do until then). Grimlock who begrudgingly fights besides Prime goes to draw devestators attention from Prime and Megs so they can finish fighting. Grimlock can't hold up too long against Devy though, and suddenly we get some meteors falling, and its the other dinobots, who Grimlock mentioned was coming earlier on. They come over and with Grimlock kick the snot out of Devy. At the end we could see the Dinobots going to a remote island so they aren't trouncing around causing chaos.
