I spent more for a toy than I did on two movies.....

Where did you get that Escape collectors set? I didn't even know there was one, let alone for so cheap.

Got all this at Walmart. I was shocked to see that they actually had good movies in the bargain bin. I mean REAL movies. I dunno if it was just this particular store or not, but I say it is worth a shot.

Regular retail on the set is 25, I'd gladly pay that much for it. Comes with a Snake Plisken Chronicles comic as well, and some neat features.

Meh, no real reason...because it is late (early morning-ish) and I have absolutely nothing better to be doing (besides sleeping).

I'd be interested to know what the unrated version of American Psycho is like. I loved that movie.
As for your purchases: You got a VERY good movie toy, and 2 stupendous movies. But you got no candy. I give you a B (no candy).

    Epsilon out of Theta

Not bad, but could do better as there is no 1982 Trans AM included in your purchase. Nor is there any white gravy and chicken eyes.

American Psycho was cool, nothing like chasing women with a chainsaw, while being naked.

Saw the regular dvd of 'Escape from LA' at my Walmart for $5, did'nt see a collectors set though, damn. Wouldve been all over that

I did. The movie sanitized the hell out of the book. And that's probably for the best.

It was f'd up when he cut his cheek.

BTW, I found the EFNY at mine but no AP yet. Gotta keep looking.

I got that yesterday, too, after eyeballing it for a few days. Shame I missed out on Psycho, but I already have it. I also managed to dig up Escape from LA. Barebones, but for $5 I was more than content, especially after NY. Truely, you never know what to expect from Wally World.

Does an Escape from LA CE even exist? I was only aware of the barebones set (non-anamorphic, too, ugh).

About a decade or so back, yeah. I'm kind of glad they left a lot of it out; I can't imagine it getting any sort of rating at all, with some of the stuff Patrick does in there.
(Rats... pipes... yeah. No rating. Not to mention the comment about how annoyed he was with how long it took to get the fat off the wall after -- never mind.)

I can't recall any differences offhand, but I suspect I've -only- seen the unrated version.

Disc is very much worth it for the audio commentaries.

And I adore the book, but people give me funny looks when I say that. :(
