Can anybody tell me more about ratchet & swivel joints?

Where can I find/buy them (retail & online)?
Do they come in metal and/or plastic?
Which one would be ideal for ROTF Leader class Megatron?

Most ratchet joints are found in the larger scale figures like Cybertron Supreme Starscream,Armada Unicron, and Cybertron Primus.

As far as buying them online,I'm not sure where to look but you might try ebay.

Essentially, Legends, basics/scouts, and deluxes rarely have ratchet joints. Voyagers and larger figures do. I'm not sure what figures you have in your collection, but I'd recommend just going through your TFs and seeing which ones you like and such. :thumb

    Ebay:
ratchet joints are joints that usually are found on legs and shoulders.
Known best for their "click click" as you move them. They can have a variety of ranges of motions, but many times are combine with swivel joints which are many times used for arms to swing around, thighs to swing around, and most times are quiet when they move on smaller figures, and may have a lighter "click" on larger figures.

Generally Ratchet joints are a bit stiffer than swivels.
