Real life combat medics patch up the enemy all the time. If there is a wounded terrorist, Americans normally take them in and patch them up. That is what differentiates us from standard terrorists. If I was a combat medic, I would not have any problems doing that.
You know you could read that a totally different way from how you intended (made me giggle). Get what you mean though ^^ Back on topic - I like the toys they're producing more than the CGI we've been seeing, just because the toys look chunkier and more TF like. But that face - just isn't right.
Aren't H2's considerably larger then regular vehicles anyway? Even if he isn't exactly 1/24 scale he's close enough for me to not care.
This is Voyayer size... I like this guy, but shame i dont buy toys.. but... its tempting... An Optimus plushy i will buy... like to beat 'em (plushies that is)... Had one hulk plushy that i used to beat up /Yurre
As I understand it, it's not that they don't own the rights to "Ratchet", it's that "Ratchet" is considered too... ordinary, I guess... to trademark and/or defend on its own. If Hasbro could just stick "Autobot" in front of a name someone else owned, we'd probably have had "Autobot Hot Rod" rather than "Rodimus" for the past few years. Also, nothing would stop another company from trademarking "Ultra Optimus Prime" or something like that.
yeah I thought that was a cool thing to mention... and not something you see often in the black and white world of Transformers.
Well, since I won an auction for a final painted version of movie Ratchet, I WILL post a mini-review and pictures in the feedback forums when I get him.
Right side of box: Heal this person and that person...Save lives...Autobots and Decepticons alike...blah blah... Left side of box: Automorphing cannon! Hidden battle axe! I love it.
Ah, but I don't care how big he is in robot mode, it's whether he fits in with the 1/24-scale vehicles. I so hope he does - although from seeing Hummers on CSI, he's gonna be noticeably too small.
I'm not sure I like the "automorping" feature. There's something about doing it yourself that makes it fun. Spring loaded panels and such I do not like.
The Automorphing feature isn't there to make it any less fun or involved, it's to add bits to the trasnformations that no previous toys have ever had. Ratchets leg panels aren't essential to the transformation, they are there to enhance the look of the robot. The same can be said of Bumblebees moving headlight clusters, Hasbro could have made this toy without those and no one would have noticed but they went the extra mile to put those in and to make the movie toys unique.
QFT. I didn't like the Mini-Con gimmick (liked the Mini-Cons themselves though) and the Force Chip/Cyber Key gimmick was essentially the same. This "automorph" gimmick sounds good in the text on the side of the box. Hope the execution is just as good or better. Oh... and still getting Ratchet. One of the better movie figures so far. -airfox
