I didn't feel like waiting for igear, or paying the cost of theirs, so I made my own:)

they aren't done yet, I want to change the front end on both and make them less "inferno-y" also I'm rendering a cap to make them look more like vans .

    but here's the start

I should mention the heads are Valkfan heads from a loooooong time ago . Alternator

You could get some VW van model kits and redo the front at least,or a partial reshell, pretty easy mold to work with :)  I like them both as emergency vehicles

Well Damn, that Ironhide look amazing in robot mode. He needs something to spruce it up though. Too bland.
    But seriously a great idea!

Man, I've got a similar Ratchet coming along out of the undersized Inferno KO, I just had to re-articulate the legs.

The front end already makes for a decent ambulance, and it shouldn't be too difficult to create a rear cap that folds into a backpack, sort of like Animated Ratchet.

I've no idea how to make rework the mold for Ironhide though.

I hade the same-ish plan awhile back when toys r us had these on there buy one get one half off deal....never got farther then modding the head on one and filling in some of the side detailing to make it more van like. Great to see your's this done for sure they look great. I'd love to see you reshell the front end and put a shield/roof piece. I'm almost mad I cut up an Inferno to mod up a G1 Perceptor...almost.
    GREAT job, keep it up!

    These are extremely righteous! Amazing.

I don't see anything wrong with the front end to have to change them tho'. they're missing so many of Inferno's other visual cues in both bot and van mode that they just look like Ironhide and Ratchet to me. Especially if you are going to cap the back end to look more like vans. They'd look like two really cool mobile homes.
