I can't wait for these to come out in December. I'll be preordering the set from BBTS. It's a little strange that DC Direct has the license for Ratchet and Clank, though. I'm not complaining since I own plenty of DC Direct figures. Makes me wonder if DC's doing what it did with World of Warcraft and plans on releasing a comic under its Wildstorm label to go along with the toys.

@tootsmendozer: Where did you find that awesome Scott Pilgrim animated .gif in your sig?

LOL, well, I'm not young, but I don't have much reason to go since I can just lift that one out of your sig.

Hmmm....a bit of searching turned up this site with a few more: Scott Pilgrim Fan Game

    *Back on topic*

Hopefully these Ratchet and Clank figures will sell well to warrant at least a second series. I'd like to see Ratchet in some of the various armors from the games and I'd love see DC give us a good arsenal of his weapons. Wouldn't mind a Secret Agent Clank figure either.

Just saw these yesterday in the new DC solicitations. Very cool!

Need details on articulation and how Clank transforms.

Ratchet actually looks kinda creepy in toy form. I think maybe it's the fake fur.

BADASS!!!! WOOHOOO!! I still got my Clank in a Tux from the PSP game. This is VERY VERY good news indeed. Would be nice to get a Ratchet in his Deadlock armor, but this will still do nicely.

I NEED Ratchet in his "mecha style" armor. You know, the armor that always costs a shit load of bolts, but looks badass? Like Carbonox, Infernox, Trillium, etc.

    ^ Trillium armor.

The games are pretty decent platformers... but the characters and plot are always the weak point. Feels like a knock-off of a bad Dreamworks CGI animated movie, and that's saying something. Don't really see the appeal of 'em. Oh well.

    :rolleyes2

The plot I can agree with... only with the games leading up to the Future games, where it appears plot has been taken more into consideration.

But come on, lack of character? How? The character of the duo (and others) is one of the strongest points of the game. Why do you think so many people want figures of a humanoid furry creature? Looks?

And just because it is cartoon-like means it is a Dreamworks knockoff? Again, how?

The writing is very similar to that horrible crap from Dreamworks. Wacky zany character one pops in to screen, says something crazy and then raises an eyebrow and makes a hilarious face. At the same time it tries way too hard to appeal to the young ones of today with over the top crazy extreme everything.

I'm sorry, but I don't really remember that happening once. Was it in a specific game?

Why the hell are you comparing this to a MOVIE? It's a GAME.

... and I bet he's talking about Quark.
