Tapes are popular right now. Especially the more obscure ones.

Do the gold weapons make it worth a lot more?

And it could be the KO. I see people spending WAY too much on toys all the time. Some people on this board for example, buy ridiculous amounts of toys a month. Most of the cost gauging is coming from AFA stuff though. I think on eBay there's a MISB Scorponok going for 1000.00 USD. Really people? 1000.00?, that's friggin 2 months food.

Seems like a pretty average price for Ratbat - probably the most sought after cassette released in the west.

Complete, Good condition ones that aren't aren't Repros?

The one in the auction has sticker details and gold weapons. The Repro has Silver weapons and painted details. Unless they went out of their way to alter the Repro version, or there's another Repro version of Ratbat out there, it seems unlikely.

a misb scorponok is extremely rare. and 1000 isnt even close to what this thing is going to close at. i thought about bidding myself and sending it to afa.

How I see it, some people have different values on certain toys and their condition. Also, some people tend to make more money or have less expenses than others.

How I see it, do what makes you feel happy. You can go to the extreme of paying $600 for a Shuffler or just $5 on a energon figure. Do what makes you happy.
