Rare ailment makes girl, 13, look like she’s 50

    Whew! That is tough. When I was thirteen I was worried about some facial hair and pimples. Can you imagine what this girl is goin through? Wow!

    I agree. Very depressing. :cry 

    I feel real bad for the girl, and a part of me kind of blames the mother. She also has this disease, and she should have known there could have been a chance that this could be passed down to her kid(s). It's an obvious possibility if you think about it, even if the odds are low. Now the poor girl has to live the rest of her life with this condition. I hope that modern medicine in the near future can treat or better yet, reverse and cure her of that rare condition.

    Since the scientists are mapping out human genome, perhaps there is a cure for people suffering from hereditary conditions such as this poor girl.
