If I was rich, i'd personally make up the 21% in return for somebody shooting $0.50 and Puffy Diddy.

Southern "Crunk" Music has been moving to the forefront of rap for the last couple of years perhaps its appeal is finally wearing off.

    I'd go halves on that.
It's incredibly ironic to me that the best rap outfit I have ever heard is Consolidated (who were white, pro-choice vegans).

I certainly hope so, there is very little rap I can actually tolorate, plus much of the culture that surrounds rap seriously gets on my nerves - especially when it's suburban white kids.

I think it would help a lot if rap actually went back to being socially relevant protest music. You know, before the bling and the ho's and the nines, and the media manipulation that made it suck.

And I'm sorry but Public Enemy > Consolidated. Actually, Public Enemy > Rap.

If someone shoots Diddy and Fitty, that would probably just increases the sales of rap by the missing 21%. We'd see another Tupac or Biggie situation, with 3 or 4 records released after their death, tribute albums, and compilations. They do much more damage to rap alive and irrelevent.

Quoted and edited for my truth.
As far as I'm concerned the only decent thing they ever did was done with Anthrax.

Couldnt care even if I tried.

Give me some classic rock, metal, and alternative to placate my musical needs.

Its just shitty crappy rap sales that are down. Like any genre of music, there are exceptions and there is a wealth of great hip hop music out there that may not be bringing in the multi millions but have received praise from peers and critics alike.

How much are music sales down across the board? Don't get me wrong, I can't stand rap either, but isn't this more a general trend.
