In revenge of the Fallen. Is the Transformer Ravange pukes up a gestalt?
very good question. I guess you can consider them a gestault by definition.
I guess the only factor would be if the little bug bots have individual personalities as well.
I would say no, in the same way that flywheels and battletrap are not gestalts. Good question though, and I can't offer anything conclusive either way, other than reedman's final form does not seem to be built from discretely visible members, as other gestalts we've seen.
Reedman is made up of microcons.
One of the TF2 Concepts was a swarm of robotic insects making up Insecticon.
Insecticon does appear in ROTF. Sam rips its head off but not before snitching to Megatron where he and Mikaela are.
I thought I read somewhere online that what Ravage "pukes up" are ball bearings that collectively forms Reedman.
I think so, they combine right? So .... wouldn't make him a gestalt.
By that definition, ROTF Devastator wasn't a gestalt either, since he was just made up of vehicles with no altmodes.
I'd consider him more a partsformer. Like G1 Omega Supreme. Nobody wonders if he's a gestalt even though his tank/rocket/base are separate parts. Reedman's just a billion times smaller.
Why do people keep making these statements. Just because we didn't see them turn into robots doesn't mean they couldn't. We saw earlier those same vehicles turn into robots. There were clones of the Contructicons so no reason to think they aren't all the same.
If thinking the vehicles have no alt modes since we didn't see them, does that mean all those Decepticons attacking the town can't turn into vehicles since we don't see it happen? Does that mean Soundwave has no robot mode since we only saw him in satilite mode?
The official devastator toy features vehicles with no alt modes.
Using a toy as an example is a bad example. That's Hasbro not wanting to put the engineering of having all of them transform. If we are going by Devestator, the legends one has transforming members.
Legends Devy begs to differ.
