The link isn't working for some odd reason. Sounds cool. I might get it to go along with the H2 that I have, but if they make an Ironhide one, I'll be all over it, lol. I love the Topkick their using for him.

Edit: Thanks for the working link. That looks pretty sweet.

I've been debating about getting the ZipZap version of this but now I''m sold on this. Any idea when it's coming out at retail?

Intriguing. So how big is this thing? And what's it supposed to cost? (rather then the hopefully inflated import price on that auction)

    Ebay:
On one hand, it doesn't transformer, so no purchase.

On the other hand, it doesn't have Bumblebee's robot head like Micro RC Racer Barricade, which was super lame.

When I worked at the Shack, Zipzaps were $20, Xmods were $50

EDIT: I am idiot thought you said what price at retail, not WHEN.

if its in shack computers, any store could tell you when they're getting them in and how many on order and a commission happy sales person would GLADLY let you buy them today and call you when it comes in.

XMods are generally pretty pricey. They're small - maybe around the size of an alternators figure - and they usually go for around $40-$50. Given that the movie cars are licensed, I'm expecting a small markup so maybe they'll go for $50-$60 retail. They're really neat, customizable R/C cars though.

RadioShack sells parts for these that'll allow for faster speeds, better response and the like. I'm not sure if they offer LEDs, but there's a strong R/C modding community that'll have them for sure if R/S doesn't.

That Barricade is nice, he definitely goes on the list. Can't wait to see the Ironhide.

Curse you, Radio Shack! You already got $50+ from me!

They're actually pretty cheap considering the R/C world people pay upwards of 200 for cars in this scale. I don't expect a markup since ALL of the Xmods are licensed vehicles in the first place.

My son has an X-Mods mustang that looks very similar, but without the police add-ons.

Seeing this makes me really want to buy the Bumblebee version. Just as long as its not bright yellow like the prototype. Does anyone know how much the XMods run in price ?

Around $50. I went to RS today to check out the XMods. Very impressive for a mini RC car. I might go back and get a regular one for fun.

I purchased my xmod red Toyota Supra for $50 back in the day but now I think they are running about $40 for the Transformer xmods.
