    Hey guys.
With all the "getting to know" type threads we have had lately.
I figured it might be fun to see, What Radicons you admire & what works by them you like the most.
A brief reason as to why you admire there work would be cool too.

It would be nice if you could link to a project thread or gallery link.

    Obviously I'll go first

AutobotX23: E's kinda like my "rival", we both have come up in the Radicons at more or less the same time.
His work with the movie line has been outstanding.
    TFTM Soundwave
    http://www.tfw2005.com/radicons-customs/repaints-and-minor-mods-4/the-tftm-soundwave-project-phase-1-complete-164230/

TheTransTorture: T3, how could you not love this guys work !!!
I mean zombie robots !!! ZOMBIE FREAKING ROBOTS !!!!!
Project EPIC PROPORTIONS - ZOMBIE Cybertron Primus
    http://www.tfw2005.com/radicons-customs/repaints-and-minor-mods-4/project-epic-proportions---zombie-cybertron-primus-165113/

Plowking: PK my kitbashing mentor or as my wife says "the guys I blame for losing my husband" :p .
He's the one that started me on this crazy trip & I can't thank him enough.

Redline: for having a vision of what the Radicons can be & giving us one hell of a place to show off our work.
Alternators Bludgeon: A Joint Effort (RL & PK)
    http://www.tfw2005.com/radicons-customs/heavy-mods-5/alternators-bludgeon-a-joint-effort-164892/

Superquad7: The guru of brush customs, enough said.
    Alternators Midnight
    http://www.tfw2005.com/radicons-customs/repaints-and-minor-mods-4/alternators-midnight-165494/

Rumble02: R02 is even more outside the box then me & for that reason I love his work.
    Shuttleshock / Shatterglass Skylynx
    http://www.tfw2005.com/radicons-customs/repaints-and-minor-mods-4/shuttleshock--shatterglass-skylynxcomplete-165523/

Encline: The things this man does with an airbrush are just crazy
Alt Nemesis prime with "alien" head
    http://www.tfw2005.com/radicons-customs/repaints-and-minor-mods-4/alt-nemesis-prime-with-alien-head-163295/

By no means am I trying to take anything away from any other Radicon.
We all do outstanding work, these are just a few I admire.

Man, thanks for liking my stuff, cause that means a lot. I always find inspiration from all of the Radicons here at TFW2005. Literally, every single one of yall. But there are a few guys that have made me jealous/drool/awe at their stuff:

Redline's Omega Supreme. Pure win, pure sick! Parts of the original Omega Supreme, plus Cybertron Metroplex (one of my favorites) and real tank treads! And its still had the 3 alt modes. Pure Sick

Nemesis Predaking's Nemesis Alts: We started our own "Lines" around the same time (My Prime Directive and his Nemesis Predacon Alts) he is my decepticon equal, and a great rivalry to have with someone who makes your stuff better when he improves his. Sick

Plowking's Decepticon Kab: If you've ever been to LA, New York, or Philly, you may think that all cab drivers are evil alien robots anyway. :lol . But this custom was just so different for me, and I have never seen anything like it! :thumb

Superquad 7 Street Seekers: First, you have to realize that this guy brush paints all of his customs. I DARE you to find a brushstroke! Go ahead!! Just a dope collections of alts that look factory. Beautiful pieces, every one of them.

Frenzy-Rumble's Ultra Magnus: Not just a white Prime! It had the super mode, and well loaded with Sigma Six Weapons. All of his stuff has an amazing level of polish, that separates his stuff. just professional high end work.

Rumble02's Obliticon Hodge Podge: A really great compination of a ton of different pieces from Bionicle, 4 or 5 different TF's, in a Deluxe sized piece!!! Beautiful!

MattArmstrongs 4 Horesmen: All of them were dyed, and all of them were sick. Death and Pestillence are personla favorites, but all 4 are legendary in my eyes.

Viagra Prime's WWI Shockwave: I have done a lil scratchbuilding for mods on customs, but the whole damn things was scratch
built! Lights, and beautiful almost eggplant purple paint job. It's like it leaped from the page into the literal world. Sweet!!!!

Encline's Predator Prime and Run-Over: The Trailer, the hands, the paint work, man. This guy makes love with his airbrush. It may be unnatural, but soooooo sick. I love and evil Prime!!

Spoonman's Hot Rod: Better than mine, and so G1. Another figure that caught me off guard.

Ptitve's Devastator: I know we have seen some sick ones, but his was my first one that I saw...and the G1 head style...still my fave big green combiner.

Vector Prime's Alt Ultra Magnus: I miss you man. It was super clean, and worthy of your legacy.

TTT's Ultra Minor: Yes, I know he does the best battle damage, but it's cool he's versatile. And, it was dedicated to Vector, and it was just different from his normal stuff.

Spurt Reynold's Soundwave: man, pure win. i love his seekers, too. But the head moulding on teh ratchet Head was unbelievable. The weapon storage, the mods to the window and a Laserbeak!!! Whoa!!!! :rock

Tony's Customz Stryker: I loved the TFTM mold regardless, but the color blends and details on this one were awesome!!!

And my all time favorite custom ever, TF Master's Masterpiece Powermaster Prime. Love of my life, man. :lol

    The Devastator's articulated G1's
    Shinobitron's Junkions and Seacon Overbite
    Squall42080's Armada Alternators
    REDLINE'S Menasor
    Ptitvite's Devastator
Viagra Prime's Ultra Magnus (Vector Tribute)

Whoever did that custom Protectobot Blades using TFTM Blackout. I believe he was Japanese.

This is like picking my favourite record... too many for too many different reasons! But this is a nice idea for a thread, and I give props to the following customisers, who I always check for, as it's due to people like this I signed up to post my overblown opinions in the first place...

Redline, Plowking, Spurt Reynolds, for all manner of pieces.
Jarrod, especially for the GT seekers, and particularly Skywarp - pride of place :)
F_R, great stuff all round, not just the combiners.
Starfire Mk2, for the MP Thundercrackers.
Turboedguy, for the articulated G1s he's doing. Check them out if you haven't so far.
EDIT - Timshinn73, the man has skills - and I also note from his posts, always a good word or advice for whoever he comments on.
TTT, for all the zombies :)

Tbh, anyone who posts work here should get a tip of a hat, there's all sorts of inventiveness and talent on display, whether it's for insane scratchbuild projects or a few licks of paint to improve a figure.

    Hmmmm....let's see.

Nemesis Predaking: His outside of the box thinking. His Animated Dinobot(s) and his Uni NP....too cool. And he has some mad ps skills too....he's become a double threat....

AutobotX23: His Prime Directive and his mad painting skills.

Superquad7: His mad skills at BRUSH PAINTING...yes, no spray cans here. And his attention to realism in his customs. Did you guys know that all of SQ7's customs have real world paint jobs?...if it wasn't available as a factory color, he doesn't use it.

REDLINE: His Classics Seekers, and his Omega Supreme....top notch work.

Big Hank: Too many cool projects to even mention.

TheDevastator: Adding articulation to G1 Combiners....and they still function as intended.

Sculpt-bot: Caster extraordinaire....and kick but customizer to boot.

    Rumble02: Obliticon Shockwave....enough said.

Encline: Animated Nemesis Prime...both of them, and his recent Movie Prime....too cool.

Frenzy Rumble: Mad painting skills.......I wish I had that skill

TonyzCustomz: Our action figure guru....loved his Hulk Captain America.

Ptivite: The originator of the Devastator Custom....loved it ever since I first saw it.

Lobo: Alternator Reshell Master. Soundwave, Kup, and Redline...thats just scratching the surface.

Spurt Reynolds: Animated Seekers....cant get enough of those guys....and Movie Seaspray is rocking it too.

TTT: The mutilator of TF's The master of disaster. His Alt Predacons are wicked looking too.

Jarrod: The Ford GT Seekers, and my all time fave; Alt Megatron/Skyline GTR reshell

Jin Saotome: Neo Shifter based Unicron....that thing was sooo wicked looking cool.

Wheeljack: Custom MP Coneheads...just flat out amazing.

Dak: Nova Prime....the name alone says enough.

Shinobitron: His Batman from Lockdown will always be one of my faves. I like his Junkions too.

Paul Prime: Anyone who can add articulation to a Legend figure, and add a custom paint job to it too is aces in my book.

TimShinn73: His one off customs TF figures always have had me in awe...I love them all.

The Librarian: His transforming Lego TF's....and I aint talking about no BTR crap either....mad skills he has.

    Mattarmstrong: His 4 Horsemen....total sweetness.

JAF: His MP Alt Mirage.....just wow.

[For the most part]Guilty as charged. I parenthetically caveat this to say that some customs (my Alternators Seekers) do not sport actual factory paint jobs, but I do root them in realistically, feasible automotive paint decos. Some of the Alt molds, such as the Impreza WRX and the Acura RSX, have a 1:1 subculture of custom paint jobs and such. I will say that 100% of each mold, I've extensively researched to know all of this. To quantify pk's statement a bit more, I do have actual automotive brochures of each make/model that was made into an Alt. One of the major aspects of the Alt/BT line is the realism of the alt modes. This is to the point that I design a custom most often with the alt mode first.

    * * * * *

As for this list, I'll first say that the Featured Radicons I have at least a third say-so in who gets selected, so there's part of my list. DON is one of my favorite artists as well as one of my favorite Radicons. I'll also say that both plowking and REDLINE continue to amaze me with their work, and I'm continually inspired. I own several of pk's customs (both completed and wip), and they are some of my absolute favorite toys. EVER. As for RL, all I can say here is that Alt Mirage pretty much got ahold of him. More news on this at 11 :)

While I fear sounding like I'm coping out of an actual list, most of the Radicons that take the time to post their work really inspire me. I really try my best to follow every Radicon's work here. At one point in time (and both pk and RL can vouch for this), I used to know each project from each Radicon off of the top of my head because of this. With the rapid growth of Radicons, this has become increasing more difficult. I still make a valiant effort, though I forget my name head half of the time (which is why I'm glad God attached it to my shoulders).

The Radicons that really make it worth my time for all that I do are the ones who start out at one place (generally at a level that's really good to begin with) and show significant improvement each and every time [conversely, the opposite of this really frustrates me to pieces]. Notable examples of this are:

    mattarmstrong
    Nemesis Predaking
    Rumble02
    TheTransTorture

Each of these persons really make accessing their threads exciting and worthwhile for me. It's been absolutely fascinating for me to see each of these artists not only fine-tune their skills, but also develop their own style that is very distinctive.

I'd also like to mention fairly new Radicons like autobotx23, encline, frenzy_rumble, Spurt Reynolds, and TonyzCustoms. I say "fairly new" only to mean their posting as Radicons, as each of these artists are obviously very seasoned and good at what they do.

As for the rest of my list, one of the good things about threads like this is that they have a tendency to last for quite a long time. Don't be surprised if this isn't my last post. :)

I totally know how you feel on this one R02. I'm am always honored & humbled by the same thing.

    Agreed. You da man Ezilla

SQ7: well said, it's for this reason I started this thread. We all come & go in the Radicons but lately it's has seemed more "tight knit" then the rest of TFW. I'm really enjoying all these Discussion thread & hope to see more in the future.
