I'm really sorry to hear about that :(

Just always cherish all the good times you guys had - and even though what's happening now sucks you can at least take solace in knowing you're helping him not to suffer anymore.

I'm deeply sorry to your loss, I'm in the same position, I just lost my dog, she had no pedigree or a defined race, like if I ever cared about that, she spent 9 years with me, we grew up together, I can't help but to think all things I did wrong with her, I just want to know she's fine wherever she is, and that one day, we'll meet again.

A day before Hurricane Ike hit Houston, Texas, I lost my 3rd horse/6th animal. Chip, a King Ranch style Quarter Horse, has been in my family since 1989. He developed a disease in 2000 that affects their nervous system, particularly in the back legs. It is amazing that he lived for 8 years with the disease. However, a couple of weeks ago, he could not get up after taking a nap in the field. The vet managed to get him up on that day but it was a humane decision to put him down. For those that do not know about horses, if they cannot get off the ground, they would be dead in the wild. Chip was 30 years old, which is still a long time for a horse to live but it does not make the pain go away. So, now, I am down to one horse, Patrick, the one that I swear has 9 lives. It is only a matter of time before he truly goes down.

I'm sorry - it's really tough when you know your pets time is up, but giving him a peaceful send off is the kindest thing to do.

Just take peace in the fact that he is no longer in any pain. Losing a long time pet(friend/family) must be a hard thing to experience.
    Again I am sorry.

Well, having recently lost one of our cats - a big ginger tom called Sandy - it looks as though our other gigner male, Marmaduke, may be joining him. :(  he has been losing a lot of weight recently, so he's going to the vet tomorrow to get checked out. At around 9 or so years old, hehas had a pretty good innings, as we got him and Sandy from a local animal rescue centre. He has such a great temperament, and will truly be missed if and when he does go...

sorry if this kinda bums you guys out, btw..

Sorry to hear that, man. Pet's are as much a part of the family as any relative, and sometimes an even better friend. Losing one is never an easy thing.
