Got this toy from China a couple weeks ago. Very fun. Here's a short video of the toy in action: KO Transformers R/C Movie Optimus Prime - YouTube So, I wasn't happy with the look of the robot mode with the chrome red head, white fists and all blue arms, so I decided to repaint him a bit (head, neck, neckplate, fists and biceps). I think he looks much better now without losing it's toy-like appearance. Before: Now: Truck mode (unchanged):
Looks like a fun toy, but a red chest piece would bring it closer to the traditional optimus, Other than that, this is some nice work.
Hmmm I might 1day look into a seriously transforming Prime which will have the electronics in the trailer just need to figure out a way to steer the cab via the trailer connection? suppose I need an relatively long axle and few gear? but sound fun! thnx for the inspiration, he changes are really good for the figure bravo!
I'm not sure how to do it given the legs are already red... I think I will try to paint the upper legs silver (well, what looks like upper legs!) and maybe add some red on the arms on the portion that doesn't show up in vehicle mode.
Considering Stealth Force Prime with electronics sells for $30 plus taxes here, I think $50 is more than a fair price for a fully transformable R/C Prime of about the same size if not slightly bigger.
