this took ten mins max (i'm sure its been done before but i'm new to this site). shorten the horible arms of shortround and glue them to his feet and all i need to do is a repaint and i've got classic seaspray.

    Update
i have had this sitting in my to do pile for long enough, so he has finally been painted, the only other alteration i done was giving him new hands and gun from a junker g2 jazz.

OK so thanks...you showed me that my fears were unfounded. I have been sitting on my shortround/seaspray bash because I could not decide if I really wanted to cut the stupid arms or not. This just show they will do fine as additions to his feet. Now to find the time to work again.

I had this idea knocking around my head but never got around to trying it. Nice to see it works. Could you post more pics, perhaps a small photo-tutorial? Thanks.

it realy is simple, just cut the arms to the right length and glue them to his feet, the balance is a bit off but it will stand.

Wow, that's crazy, I was thinking about exactly the same thing! The first time I saw the Shortround/Storm Surge mold I thought "wow, that would make a great Seaspray if you changed the arms"!

Fantastic! Looks way better than the original arms. And Seaspray was a personal favorite of mine when I was a kid.

    Looks GREAT!!!

By the way, what type of paint was used? It works very well and has a nice flat finish.

Someday I'll get around to this one.

I love this mod... I've been planning to do it for a while (like so many other mods... never get around to it). The fists you used look great.

Can you offset the balance problem by keeping his "claws" in the feet, and then sliding them backwards to give him some more heel? Don't have the figure in front of me, so I'm not sure if it would work.

I confess, I do have a soft spot for Shortround's ridiculous lobster claws (normally I hate TFs without hands, but the claws charmed me)... but they don't really suit Seaspray. The hands are much better.

You can use bits from the thumb to build a heel. As an added bonus, you won't have to cut nearly as much away from the claw, so you can leave a slightly longer arm on the modified figure.

Beautifully done; I love the new update.
One little suggestion, though: the yellow hands really stand out in alt mode. How about either painting them blue to match the rest of the hull, or alternatively paint them black, and do the same to the skirt of the hovercraft to blend it in and boost the realism factor (since hovercrafts generally have black rubber skirts)?
