How many of you guys are planning to collect the complete line of Generations and Power Core Combiners. I'm thinking of doing it. I've never tried to have a complete set of Transformers (I came close with Animated).

nah, too many of them are looking pretty unappealing already.

legends ravage on the other hand, i plan on army building. he's adorable! (even if he does turn into a pointy shoe).

I've been attempting to keep "Classics" complete (and I did get all of the mainline figures from the first incarnation of the line), but the loose definition of what's in the line and what "isn't" has made it easier to pick and choose. Since Generations is the 3rd incarnation, I'm sure I'll get most of it.

I also tried to complete the US Alternators, but I still haven't got Rodimus, Ravage, or Rumble (the 3 R's!)

I'll probably be getting the toys in the Generations toy-line. I'm not too sure about those Power-core Combiners.

The combiners don't look great to me. Usually when I see them in person I give in, but I'm gonna completely pass on the combiners to try and save some money for other things.

No, I don't try to go completist on any line, but there's way too much movie stuff coming for me to even consider that anyway.

even Hasbro have said they don't expect anybody to buy everything they put out.

presumably in reference to the volume and diversity of their output, rather than PCC combiners being utter shit. ;)

There is some nice looking stuff in the Generations line I'll add to my Classics/Universe collection. But I'm just getting the figures that appeal to me and passing on the one's that can't capture that special something I'm looking for in a Transformers toy.

I'll get a few of the Power Core figures to see if I like them or not. It's really hard to tell just by the pictures if you will like a toy or not because sometimes that figure you were willing to pass on from a picture ends up being a great toy in person.

I don't buy the complete line of anything. I'd end up with far too much crap if I did.
