Does he suffer from sticky paint at all like Prowl did?
From what I have heard, no. However, he does have a toast fetish like bluestreak...
Mine's paint isn't 'sticky' per say, but it is very oppossed to staying on the translucent plastic. I'm not sure if that's common or not though.
which prowl is sticky?
A number toys produced around the time of the first to third waves of Universe 2.0 had issues with paint bonding with translucent plastics. Over time, the paint would absorb the oils from your hands and get really gummy and smudgy. Prowl and Ironhide were the most notably effected, as were Animated Leader Megatron (cockpit), and some instances of Soundwave.
Later production runs fixed this issue, and it hasn't cropped up since.
interesting. mine doesnt seem sticky on either of those. did henkei suffer the same fate? i was thinking of adding a prowl henkei. is there a chance he could be sticky-icky?
I have U2 Blustreak and his paint is perfectly fine.
I think you're confusing him with Ramjet.
My Bluestreak's paint is fine by the way.
The paint wasn't sticky on mine, but it did feel like that easy rub off paint like on Generations Blurr.
My Silverstreak's paint got a little smeary, just like my Prowl's.
After the paint on Prowl I just gave my Silverstreak an all over blast of clear coat before even the first transformation. If mine had been destined to have dodgy paint I never gave it the chance to happen.
