Just a bit of blacklining, some gold, a bit of blue on the feet, and some drybrushing with metallic silver.

Nice! Prime stands out more with the lines and paint apps.

    Wow, looks pretty good.

I hope I'll get one of these too, but i won't do additional painting.

Thinking about our TF-Toy-Supply here in Germany, i doubt if i will ever get one.

Still hoping to find the CybertronWingSaber/GalaxyForceSonicBomber for a linkup with my Cybertron Leader-Class Optimus Prime for about 50€(66,725$)

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Here are two more pics taken in-progress before I added the gold, etc.

The grill is a thing of beauty!

So if I'm getting this right, you base coated it with flat black, and then dry-brushed the silver over top?

Nope. The Robovision version, which is a Target exclusive I believe, already comes with Hasbro's "supermetal finish." Basically all I did for most of that was paint in undiluted flat black acrylic and then wipe off the excess with my finger, leaving black paint in the low spots. There's a bit more to it than that; I applied some selective washes and metallic silver drybrushing, but for the most part, what's silver on the figure was already silver. The contrast with the black just brings it out more. Only his feet and center chest piece are molded in gray.

Ahhhhhh... yeah, I forgot this guy already had a metallic finish. Nonetheless, nice work. Looks great!

If it wasn't already silver, I'd probalby do as you suggested, or maybe just disassemble it and/or mask off selected areas and spraypaint it silver, then proceed as I already have. Either way, it would be a significantly more involved project.

Also, I just remembered--the gun-barrels were gray. I added metallic silver by dabbing a bit on my fingertip and wiping it on, which seems to work better than a brush for me in that type of application for some odd reason.

Looking at some pics of Prime from the movie, I notice his upper legs are blue. I might try disassembling his thighs and painting the inner portion. And, the curved plates covering his lower "ribs" should be blue with red flames, not red as they are on the figure. Might be too much work at this point though. I'm lazy.

Do you ever use sharpie and an eraser? Works wonders on a model kit.

BTW-is your avatar from the Under Pressure music video?

I didn't use a Sharpie; I have before, but I don't like look of it after it dries all that much. This is just Apple Barrel black acrylic from the craft section at Wal*Mart.

The avatar is from an old sci-fi movie called, I think, "The Angry Red Planet." It might have been used in the video as well, but I've not seen it.

Was it the Movie about a Planet, that was a Life-Form?
Because I've seen that one, and that Planet-thing was as far as i know, destroyed along with the Guys, that landed on it.
