I'm a new member but have been a lurker in the Kitbash section for about a month now. You guys are amazing. Far better than I'll ever be.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has taken apart any of the G1 cars and tried to repair them. I'm talking about Smokescreen, Prowl, Silverstreak, Jazz, etc. What should I look out for and what should I keep in mind when trying to piece one together?

What specifically are you trying to repair with these guys?

Well, I know that a lot of times the pieces that break are the windshield where it connects to the hood/head, the doors, and the back windows/shins. Are those tough to switch out? Also are the G1 and G2 pieces the same just with different paint jobs?

Gah! Why do the posts go in reverse chronological order? That's not anything like HCRealms.

what are you talking about? it shows your first post first, then your second post *L*. just like how my post is now below yours, so you read what was replied to before you read the reply. Anyway, your question about parts being the same, yes. The G2 is merely a repaint.

You can change your settings for posts and such, but I wouldn't recommend it.

There are a few pieces that are different than the originals (i.e. Jazz's head), but those parts are few. :)

It is the opposite for me. The most recent post is above the older ones. It's bass ackwards. And thanks for the info.

Fixed it. There's a drop down in the User CP. Anyway, is it the face that's different or the shape of the head mount piece?

So any tips? Tool I should be sure to have? Parts that need a delicate touch not to break? Anything?

    The face molds are different.

Did you read the sticky thread in our section from Ops_was_a_truck?
