My PS3 is dying and I need to backup my shit ASAP. Which do you guys recommend, via online cloud storage or using an external hard drive?

I didn't even know u could back it up online. When I had to, I actually just deleted all of the MP3s and movies that I could jsut re-download from my computer, and then backed up all of my saves and the like on my MP3 player.

Yeah from what I've heard there is this feature on PSN+ called cloud storage, it allows one to backup there data kinda like how you would do with carbonite.com and others. Or maybe I misunderstood the feature's uses? But hey, you were able downloaded your files onto your computer? How much free space did you need to store your saves?

Do it on an external hard drive or USB drive. There is a feature that does it automatically for you on the system.

Settings -> System Settings -> Backup Utility

Cloud storage is for game saves only. A full data backup you need an external harddrive.
