Is this an exclusive for a certain store or will it be a wide release. Sorry if this has been brought up before.

 

It's rumored to be a Target Exclusive down the line, however no 100% confirmation yet.

 

I ordered this set online because there's probably a 0% chance that it will be released in UK. Was getting ready on Wednesday to go to Toys R Us and a delivery van pulls up with it, along with my HA Jazz, which is also not going to be released in the UK. I mainly got the 3-pack for Rodimus and Cyclonus because i missed them when they were released a few years back. The instructions for Rodimus say that his hand razor he has in the cartoon movie is a communicator. The paint scheme on all 3 figures is awsome.

 

Got to agree with cosmos360, the paint apps are awesome. With the one exception of Galvatron's alt mode. It's a lovely looking set. One thing I don't like is the fully painted missile that Rodimus has. I would have preferred a translucent one.

 

My set just arrived yesterday, and it's great. Very G1.

 

Picked my set up at Auto Assembly and the Hot Rod deco is just beautiful. Galvatron is too creamy and looks washed out (especially in alt mode) and Cyclonus is almost perfect.

No idea if we'll see a general release in the UK - or anywhere else for that matter - but I just cannot recommend the set enough. If you have a chance to pick one up, do it. You won't be sorry.

 

I actually think that the solid color missile looks kinda cool for a change

 

Just curious but where did you guys order this from and what was the price range. I saw it on BBTS but I might wait and try to find it at retail

 

i bought the set...did not care for rodimus so sold him on ebay...cyclonus and galvatron look awesome!..

galvatron with the creamy colors looks a little muted...but still looks better than that crazy universe deco....cyclonus looks almost like the henkei colors but no purple chromed parts...worth the $55 that BBTs wants...

Don't think so, the 3 pack's pretty much avaliable in every collector's store I went to. Either be patient or order it from someone esle.

 

oops, i forgot to mention. It was £39.99 from Toyz and Gamez.com. Thought it was a bit much for a 3-pack of deluxe figures, but i really wanted the set.

 

Is this Rodimus in this set the same mold as Classics Rodimus? I figured this might be a good way to get a hold of that mold in prep for Fansproject's protector.

I am edging closer to buying it I had it on preorder initial but had to let it go due to funds but more will open up soon. the thing that is getting me most is I'll not likely find another classics Rodimus figure for such a cheap price and i don't have Cyclonus either so just those two are worth the price to me and the Galvatron well I have the universe one already so I am not sure what i'll do with it.

 

I like the set. Galvatron is a little plain though. Cyclonus looks way better than Henkei Cyclonus, and I really like the cartoon accurate deco on Rodimus. If this sees a U.S. I will pick up another set.

 

We haven't had any kind of confirmation that it's coming to a retail store at all, that's why I got one online for the kinda nutty price. I'm sure it will eventually, and I'll probably grab a second at a more reasonable $25-30 (hopefully) for.. well, for the hell of it I guess.

 

Aren't they basically the same except the 3-pack lacks the purple chrome wing tips?

 

Nope they're very different.
