I was wondering about the Roadbuster, and how he stands up to deluxe sized figures? I'd like to have a Wreckers display, and I know he's a bigger guy in the comics, so I'd like him to at least stand above my deluxes.
I'm assuming you meant Roadbuster when you said Dirge, as per the thread title, he is your average deluxe. *grabs RB and Drift* hes about a head shorter than Drift but taller overall at the shoulders.
Roadbuster is a tad short for a deluxe. I still use him though. Roadbuster's always been a bit of a non-character to me, so I just envision him as a short but tough gunslinger.
Hey, thanks guys. I was hoping he'd be a bit bigger, but, oh well, that mold still kicks butt for him, so I'm gonna gnab em.
Yeah, I originally got the set for Dirge, but the CybDef. Hot Shot mould works really well as Roadbuster. The name could not fit the vehicle mode and weapon-laden robot mode better. Colours are surprisingly effective.
^ I would prefer him bigger with a new head sculpt. The Nato-Bot upgrade's great but it still doesn't solve the scale issue. (Sigh!)
Dude if you want a wicked road buster to stand tall amongst your classics collection, dig back and research on upgrading the cap America crossovers mold. Requires some painting and moding but I think so worth it. Personally I use the Target 2-pack as my Roadbuster. However if you want someone to tower over the others, you may want to take a look at Animated Roadbuster Ultra Magnus.
Between never having customized anything, and not fuckin' being able to find the actual kidbash STORE online to order any of it, I'm good on that. The kit looks amazing though. I like the size of the magnus mold, but I have no animateds, so it just doesn't match anything on my displays . I saw it, and I like the concept though!
I actually love this guy. He is short but he's bulky and that makes him work as Roadbuster for me. If you really want to spruce him up get some extra guns like the gatling gun from Recon Ironhide. Let him dual wield two of those suckers and tell me he doesn't look bad ass.
I've got the Universe 2.0 Roadbuster (from the 2-pack with Dirge) wearing the Nato-bot upgrade kit. He is remarkably tiny but the new head scuplt and weapons redeem him somewhat. I wouldn't even consider using him without it.
Yeah, I'll have a go at this one upgrade kit here but ONLY if it makes TFU Roadbuster LARGER in scale. Meantime, I'm keeping my hands crossed for a legit, updated Roadbuster toy.
