i dont know if anyone else has done this, i had a quick check through the forums but coudnt see any threads on it.

what bothered me most about this figue was the feet. not movie acurate and i hated the car parts on the front. so i cut them off and glued them to the parts they attach to in car mode. this does not affect the transformation or alt mode and makes the figure look alot more movie acurate!

    some pics attached...

I was thinking of doing something similar but instead of glueing those parts to the car's front, I wanted to attach it to his arms just like the CG. But it would mean have to sort of parts form.

By the way, thanks fof sharing :)

I considered gluing them on there too, but i just decided to transform his feet backwards instead.

just a small saw and a craft knife, was very easy and took a few minutes. i noticed this would be possible while transforming his legs backwards. transforming them backwards looks better then the "real" transformation but i just wanted something 90% film acurate.

Looks great. You wonder why Hasbro didn't just do this. The "toes" were pretty much useless in helping him stand anyway.

When will someone mod Sideswipe w/ feet! Just don't like those hind dog legs/ feet of his.
I wonder if doing something similar like Bumblebee's feet would work?

I vote for NO HIND LEGS!

Sorry nice tip by the way.

i always have this dilema. i hate cutting into figures, after all money doesnt grow on trees. but if i know its just gonna be an easy mod then i go for it and hope for the best. its boils down to one thing. if the figure is gonna look alot better with the mods then id would without then id do it. personally i think this mod on sideswipe makes the figure look miles better and alot more acurate so i dont regret it

Sorry for the simple/dumb question, but what kind of glue do you guys use to glue those pieces back on? Regular model/plastic glue?
