Pretty self-explanatory, really! If you had the opportunity to grill the Transformers toy designers (past or present), what would you ask them?

For example, I'd ask them what their favourite part of the design process is, if they monitor fan reception or not, and how they feel about having to design so many Bumblebees!

    Over to you!

If people report breakages on toys, do you take this into account when designing? Things like open hands and very thin plastic around pins are known to fracture and stress.

Why exactly do you guys make so many bumblebee's? (just to make sure and understand why they do so)

and to be more serious: other than FOC bruticus, are there any plans for a future remake of a combiner group?

Why over-produce one mold for repaints when you could use that time and effort to make entirely new molds? Does it really save that much money, or..?

Why is DOTM Voyager Optimus Prime such a downgrade over so many other Optimus Primes?

Why is your "Big-Dicks" decision maker making you design and built absolute garbage toys that are NOT G1 in nature?

I dont agree with that. I love that mold, Specially the fireburst.

I would like to ask about the first draw ups.

When you look at a certain character to make, do you look at making one mode better than the other for sake of making everything work, and how does that decision come about.

I recently found myself quite pleasantly surprised by DotM Prime. Rubbish representation of movie prime, but a great toy. If I were to ask the designers a question about DotM prime, I would ask why they didn't mould thrusters onto the ends of the fuel tanks. It would have benefited both modes. Rocket powered peterbilt, rocket powered prime!

Actually buddy, I didn't, but having looked at your recent posts I can see why you'd think so. I hardly ever visit the Prime boards - some very strange folk lurking there! :lol

Yes, designers are also in charge of marketing.

1.Why were Transformers toys changed during the 90's from solid, easy to transform, less articulated toys to lighter, break away toys that are a pain in the @$$ to transform?

    2. How did you become lucky enough to have what might be the coolest job in the world?

"dear Hasbro engineers, what do you care more about? How cool the robot mode looks or how intuitive the transformation is?"
