I got a couple sets for pretty cheap at a KB Liquidation Outlet a couple weeks back and just wanted to know if anyone knew some history on what they're KO's of...

The first set if from the well known Galaxy Defender KO line...and I was surprised that the quality was actually somewhat decent. Don't get me wrong the stickers won't stick and the seams and joints are pretty bad, but I was expecting MUCH worse. It was a pleasent surprise.

I'm not sure if this other set is a KO of anything...it could just be a generic company that puts out craptacular-quality toys. The box said "Transformax" The robot modes are pretty cool...the big guy has very little articulation, but the two smaller guys have good arm movement and knee movement...the grey artillery truck appeared to have a head swivel, but I found out the hard way by snapping off the head. It's been super glued on.

As you can see the big guy has the worst quality, the pieces of the nosecone in jet mode don't hold together well at all...and I really want to tear off that stupid ass T-rex thing on it's left shoulder...but overall it's pretty cool and fairly big(Voyager TF-sized)

I'm going to get some reprolabels and turn the GD set into Autobots and the Transformax things into Decepticons...but I was just curious if they had any history prior to becoming KOs. Thanks for any help!

The first one is a KO of God Silverion from Brave of Gold Goldran with the colours changed from silver and various colour ccombos to rainbow colours and random simbols from other anime stuck everywhere. The second one the smaller two look like general crap KOs while the larger one looks very similar to Black OX from Tetsujin 28 FX But with remolds and added T-rex head etc.

Cool, thanks so much for the info...I wondered if the first one was a Brave KO...and I really did figgure the second was some generic lumps of plastic. I'll have to check out pics of the original Brave toy.

Pictures can't do the real thing justice, all the silver chrome is a real sight to behold. Arguably one of the best looking toys from Brave, even though he's not one of the best designed.

I've also got a Black Ox somewhere, mine's a KO as well but a more accurate looking one compared to that one.

Yep. He's cool. But the reissue Goldran is even more chromed :) .

Thanks for the pics Sol! That is one good looking toy. I thought the original must be awesome since the KO was actually fairly solid. Oooo pretty chrome....

Best thing about Braves is that they're mostly readily available so they dont cost you an arm and a leg.

    OMG!

I JUST posted a question in the old "Happywell Brave KO's any good?" thread ten seconds before seeing this thread! Nice to see the pics of the God Silvarion, as it's one of the ones I was looking at...! :)

From what I can tell, the big KO in the second batch of pics is a total mashup of KO parts from different robots, notably Gundams of a few different types.

Nah. They are just rip off KOs that try to resemble gundams. Like the KO truck I bought a few years ago at woolworths which had diecast in it. It looked like a cross between gundam and Optimus. The box art even made it look like a gundam.
