I know this isn't exactly a kitbash thread, but I can't think of a better place to put it. A lot of the best photocomics (Not all the best, mind you, mind you) tend to use sets, with more and more tending to use them, as well as extensive photoshopping (See Shane's remarkable 'Obsidian's Lament'). Many use lego, or little knicknacks from other toylines, while other scratchbuild sets. Most use a combination, and mix it all up with clever use of photo-editing software. I was just wondering if we could get some of the gurus to post their tips and tricks? Where do you pick up your 'props'? How do you set up your 'sets'? What photoshop guide or tricks do you use for your effects? Just curious myself, since I'd like to try some of these... even if I never make a photocomic; just to see what I can produce.
