Now, before anyone says; "Oh, becase ironhide iz awsum!", I have this to ask. When Ironhide collides with Crankcase and Crowbar, something doesn't make sense. The two Dreads hit the ground hard, while you can see Ironhide landing perfectly on his feet.

I don't get that. Crankcase and Crowbar wern't caught off guard, so they knew they were going to collide. Also, thier Suburbans are just a couple inches shorter then Ironhide's Topkick, so there wouldn't be the issue of the bigger vehical ramming he little ones.

So if I could get an answer, I'd appreciate it.

Because Ironhide probably rammed them harder than we think, plus, Ironhide's the Autobot weapon Specialist and Second in Command. You'd expect him to be good at these things. I mean, they don't call him Ironhide for nothing.

Because ironhide is a badass. He lives for collisions like that. He gets a 10 for the landing too.

Being a combat veteran, Ironhide has probably done this loads of times, just look at his original bio for the first movie in the guide books. He would have the experience to know how to hit at the right angle, and to transform in time to land stably on his feet.

Also, Ironhide hit both of them on the corners of each wing, this would cause them to spin into Ironhide's doors at an angle causing them to uncontrollably flip and spin, as shown in the film, so they wouldn't be able to land safely as the change form.

It's not the size, it's how you use it. The Topkick clocks in at around twice the curb-weight of the Suburban.

This. The speed might have been the same at collision, but the weight favored Ironhide.

I always kind of thought that the scene was set up as Sideswipe & Dino luring in the Dreads to Ironhide. Just the way they drove around Ironhide might of caught them off guard. But a lot in this thread makes sense too

Well for one the collision had the dreads flipping through the air, Ironhide came to a stop and just went upwards making him more able to control himself in air.

It's simple; Ironhide is made of the sterner stuff.

because crankcase and crowbar hit ironhide on the side so the other half of their vehicle form went up while the colliding one stayed in that direction. ironhide on the other hand hit both of his sides on half of crowbar and crankcase which allowed his sides to both go up the same way which caused him to do a somersault (flip) and land directly on his feet. That is the best way I can explain it if you know what i mean because i am only an 11 yr old in the 6th grade and dont know much about cars but i could figure that out by myself.
