Why would you use an orange marker?

Colour theory says that blue should work, although depending on the hue of the plastic, the ink can dominate, and make it look blue despite all logic. Purple should also do the trick. You might need to play with the colours a bit to achieve the desired results.

    Duh, you're right. I meant blue :)

And its a fairly dark red windshield. Don't really have any extra to experiment with. May have to try and find some junkers.

Anyone else use this tutorial with good result?

My gut response wants to say to go with a coat of clear blue on the INSIDE of the window. It should give you a purple in the end.

I'll actually be doing roughly the same thing here soon. Just reverse the colors, turning a blue window purple using clear red.

Haven't gotten to it yet. I've been painting up something else. Should be about done sometime next week, depending on the weather.

Then I'll see what I can do about getting that blue window purple and update it's thread accordingly.

Bit the bullet and used a blue sharpie on the back of the windshield. Came out a perfect Decepticon purple!

Thanks for your help fellas! :thumb
