Saw this listing on ebay this morning..

Transformers Huge G1 Lot!! Optimus Prime, Shockwave, Dinobots + many more!!! | eBay

I was just wondering if its a safe bet to guess that those are all knockoffs. The prime looks like the grey border version that we've all seen as KO's, and barring closer up pics, (and the fact that I think every one of those were the one's KO'd), I'm thinking they're all the recent fakes.

I'm not that great at spotting kos but those look like kos to me, judging from the holes on the minobots cards and the prime box. The pictures in the auction aren't very clear

I know the Prime looks to be a KO based on the line in the window. I wasn't aware there are Sunstreaker/Sideswipe KOs

    Pretty sure they are KOs.

I can see just from the pics, all the Minibots, Optimus, Mirage, and Scourge are 100% KOs. But since he also says he has a "clear" set of Frenzy/Laserbeak, and all the other figures he has up have been KOed, its safe to say they all are.

I say find real proof that they're KO's and report him :)
His feedback is full of expensive G1 toys, who knows how many of them are KOs?

I have to ask though, have they made KOs of the individually packed Constructicons? I don't remember seeing those.

There are other G1 items in his sales history that have not be KO'd like Nightbeat, Powermaster Optimus Prime. I'd guess it's a mix, maybe from someone who doesn't know or care to mix official and repro toys.

yup, those too...Buyer Beware: Generation 1 Knock Off Carded Constructicons - Transformers News - TFW2005

Which leads me to believe he knows these are KOs, yet still does not mention it in his auction.

    Reported to ebay.

It's really a scary time to be buying G1 figures on eBay, they're just loaded with KOs.

He changed it to "REISSUES", which still implies they are official has/tak products.

He's probably playing it smart, if he listed as KOs, ebay will shut down the auction. But yeah, "Reissues" implies they are official, very misleading but at least potential buyers are aware, and if anyone is spending $1600+ on toys, they might want to do some research.:2c:

I agree that the term reissue is not the right term. But at least potential bidders will not think they are the from the 80s

Ebay has all but stopped monitoring and just cares about getting the final value fees.
