Are all of them considered part of the classics?

OR just some of them, if just a selected few, can I get a list?

I was under the impression that they all were with the "Universe" name just being the line's identity since "classics" was really only an unofficial designation.

well, technically, any figure you want can be classic, but the ones that i consider true classics are the ones that really update the original characters...other figures they shoehorn aren't necessarily classics, but they are new characters in the classic universe...

    at least, that's my take...

okay, so which ones are the ones that update G1 characters?

I was too young to remember, and haven't had the time to catch up on my cartoon yet :)

There are a ton of repaints coming but those really aren't updates.

To me the Classics figures are all of the new molds and repainted Classics molds, while repaints of older toy-lines are part of the Universe story.

Why are they called classics 2.0? Why not just Classics 2, do we really need the .0 ? It seems unecessary.

The legends repaints say classics series on them. The real test will be Blaster/Heavy load.

Cause 2.0 sounds more scientific. :noob

Also, I agree that anything with "Classics Series" on it is a "classic".

More than likely to fit the motif of them are robots and such. And this is wave two and like most updated computer programs or machines upgrades are called version "2.0".

"The Universe story" is Classics 2.0, as indicated by the tech specs.

We've already seen their boxes. They say "Classic Series" on them. This isn't some great mystery.

Tankor is an update of G1 Octane, however Hasbro can no longer use that name so they went with Tankor.

This. In my personal toy-line canon, anyway. I also consider movie-line toys that are repaints from older lines to be Universe. Actually I'm more likely to divvy up the Universe toys back to the toy lines the molds originally came from and not bother thinking of it as an individual toy line at all. i.e. Blades and Big Daddy are Cybertron toy repaints so they are Cybertron toys.

Add me to the list of "this."

I don't consider A/E/C repaints part of the classics line. As much as I like Botcon Huffer and Springer, I don't consider them classics.

I especially do not consider Cyb Soundwave a Classics Blaster.
