Two questions, really. What company would you recommend I fly with, and when & where would you be flying from? I'm headed out on the Wednesday, I'm just trying to work out flights now. I was considering BA, but since they're introducing this whole "pay an extra fee for more than a single bag in the hold" thing I'm looking at other companies instead.

Any recommendations, and would anyone be flying out around the same time be interested in meeting on this side?

The times I've booked it's been through Expedia or Opodo.
That way the get a whole host of companies.

Is there a ebookers.co.uk? I booked my flight for june at Ebookers, was the cheapest I could find, but obviously that was ebookers.nl. I know they're in more countries though.

Edit: Yes, www.ebookers.co.uk exists. Here too you get several companies.

I ususally use Expedia; and I usually end up flying with Continental.
I have no complaints with either.

In addition, I booked with Expedia last year and I also got the Gatwick Express ticket through them, though the date was wrong and i didn't check till a while after.

I called them up and they happily changed it for me free of charge.

I'll probably take Virgin Atlantic to NYC then drive up

Usually find Virgin most comfortable and best for taking excess / oversize baggage
