How well does it work? Has anyone had problems with it? I thought this thread would be best suited for this forum, but mods, feel free to move it.

 

I have no complaints, frankly its the best (only) thing Ive ever free-downloaded

 

It's pretty damn good. Even with photoshop, I find a lot of things easier with GIMP. Make sure to use the tutorials here, there's a lot of effects some of us have mastered that people can take advantage of.

 

It works very good. I've found to be very useful and it really makes you creative in how to make things just right.

 

This. I mainly use photoshop, but GIMP is pretty good, and some things are easier to do in it than ps. The super nova effects are awesome, and I can't find anything that comes close in PS.

Why haven't we all converted to GIMP and Comic Life?  

 

Yeah, I'm using Comic Life. Thankfully, the Comic Creator 3.whatever trial expired and I set out to find something else. It's really handy for layouts and text bubbles.

 

If I had any spare money, I'd be over Comic Life like a rash. It looks quality.
