I've recieved an offer for some of the items I'm selling currently in my sale thread that I put up last night on here. The offer is from an on-line store (which shall remain nameless) and they offered me $140 cash or $170 store credit and I must pay S&H regardless. The items are as follows:

    TFs

-Armada Sideswipe – no Minicon (Nightbeat), no accessories,
    faint scratches on roof

-G2 Skydive – missing gun, rusty screws, sticker wear

-G1 Galvatron – missing all accessories including waist ring,
heavy sticker wear, paint wear especially on “chrome” parts,
    electronics work!

-Universe Ramjet – comes with Minicon Thunderwing, missing
other 3 Minicons, comes with all accessories, very good
    shape

-G1 Mixmaster – no accessories, rusty screws, missing many
stickers, paint wear, especially on “chrome” parts

-G1 Mixmaster – no accessories, missing many stickers, paint
wear, minor paint wear, no rub symbol (the residue’s there),
    loose legs/cab joints

-G1 Hook – no accessories, missing front section of body (the
green parts, chrome attachment piece still there), stickers
missing, paint mostly dirty, “chrome” parts heavily worn

-G1 Longhaul – no accessories, sticker wear/missing stickers,
paint mostly dirty, “chrome” parts very worn

-G1 Dirge – no accessories, heavy sticker wear, missing
stickers, left connector for nose/cockpit to body slightly
crushed, sticky residue on nosecone, pock marks on cockpit
window, black writing on right side of body (ie. a "junker”)

-G1 Runamuck – no gun, joints slightly loose, no side window
stickers, no stock stickers (rub symbol the exception)

-Armada Cyclonus – has Minicon Crumplezone, missing missiles
x 2, waist joint slightly loose

-G1 Astrotrain – missing all accessories, missing right rear
train wheel flap/shuttle wing, heavy paint/metal wear,
heavy sticker wear (ie. probably a “junker”)

-G1 Actionmaster Wingthing – Soundwave’s pal, missing wings
x 2, stress mark on black section of back right shoulder,
right leg about to snap off (just needs some glue)

-Cybertron Vector Prime – almost perfect, displayed once
briefly, with Minicon Safeguard and all accessories folding
translucent green wing portions bent out of shape due to
being in a box (fixable as they are flexible)

-Armada Demolishor – with Minicon Blackout and all
    accessories, like new

-G1 Wildrider – no accessories, heavy sticker wear, somewhat
rusty “hubcaps”, dirty paint (could be cleaned)

    -Universe Skydive – like new

-BW Transmetal Rhinox – has horn, all metallic parts have
    heavy paint wear

-BW Bonecrusher – missing missile, otherwise, like new

-BW Transmetal Airazor – slight wear on metallic parts,
    otherwise, very nice

-BW Iguanus – all accessories, like new

    -BW Noctorro – like new

-BW Transmetals 2 Sonar – like new

-BM Rattrap – with all accessories, very slight paint wear

-BW Transmetal Stinkbomb – very, very slight paint wear on
    white hair areas on back

-BW Terragator – with gun and shell, like new

-BW Transmetal Depth Charge – all accessories except
shootings discs x 2 and sword/tail tip, slight paint wear,
    mostly on metallic parts

-G1 Hardhead - box only!, fairly beat up, but could possibly
be repaired, back looks pretty good, numerous tears and
    creases

-G1 Onslaught – no accessories, a lot of sticker wear, paint
wear (scratches on underside), loose upper leg joints

-G1 Inferno – missing all accessories, missing left arm, many
joints loose, stickers suck, pins missing from various parts
    (ie. a “junker”)

    -G1 Trailbreaker - …..in 4 pieces….very heavy paint wear, no
hope here…..junker! (free with a purchase of any 3 things
    (‘cause he’s heavy and all)

-G1 Blitzwing – no accessories, moderate sticker wear, some
paint wear (most visible on nosecone), not too bad overall
    (add some Reprolabels and voila!)

-G1 Brawl – comes only with double-barreled mounted
cannons, stickers not too bad, but probably in wrong places,
turret snapped off (could easily be glued back), pretty nice
    except for those things

-G1 Motormaster – no accessories, stickers pretty good,
    heavy wear on “chrome” plating
on front of truck cab, 2 posts that plug into 2 holes inside
truck cab are gone, so cab doesn’t like to stay together,
stress mark on purple undercarriage near front, left purple
cab half with crack near back wheel

-G1 Hun-Grrr – no accessories, fairly good condition except
for slightly loose right head joint (larger joint near middle) –
    probably just needs tightening

-G1 Quake – no accessories (including his Targetmasters),
missing tank turret, large melted portion on left side of body i
in tank mode (wasn’t me!), heavily stressed/crushed area on
underside of tank mode in right blue upper chest area,
    sticker wear

-G1 Omega Supreme – numerous parts I received in a box and
never got around to fiddling with - appear to be enough
parts for 2 tanks – 1 is mostly put together and the other is
pretty much in pieces (all internal parts are removed and
present – gears and such), hmmmmm….. fixer-upper or
just “junkers” in disguise? They’re definitely more than meets
    the eye!

    -Cybertron Dirt Boss – MOSC

    -Cybertron Sideways – MOSC

    -Cybertron Snarl - MOSC

    Non-TFs

-Aliens: Warrior Alien – MOSC, card slightly bent with stress
marks scattered here and there, really odd powder-blue-
    colored variant (1996 - Kenner)

-Robocop: The Series – Powerglow Robocop – red version, no
longer lights up, MOSC, card slightly bent, but almost
    perfect (1995 – Toy Island)

-Simpsons Blocko Set: Series 1 – MISB

So, my question is, basically, what do you all think? Am I getting a raw deal or should I take it? I am very tempted to take that store credit, but on the other hand, I probably should just take the cash since the whole reason I'm selling these things is to assist in the purchase of an engagement ring for the gf (but I do have the credit card....). Please, Post some thoughts! Thanks!

I dont' know. You gotta lot of stuff, but most of it is pretty low price. I say take the store credit. You'll get more that way. Donate blood or sell a kidney to buy the ring. Heck, you're about to lose your testicles anyway, you won't miss a kidney. ;)

BTW, if that junker Trailbreaker had the head and camper top ( not broken in any way ), I'd have been interested in him.

Well, you've got a lot of misc stuff there. I'd take the store credit (hey, it's $30 for free). I say go for it.

    Ouch...

Depends on how much work you wanna do...if you like the store and you want some easy cash - take the deal.

If you're willing to take the time to snap pics of everything and list it all on eBay...I'm betting you can make at least an additional $50, if not more.

Lose my testicles, eh? Should I rethink things? Nah, I've had 4 years to back out, I guess. Anyway, about Trailbreaker, I'll send you some pics this weekend on the off-chance you might still want him 'cause I believe those pieces you mentioned are present and accounted for, just not attached.

It's a tough call. Your stuff is pretty beat up for the most part so being able to sell it is a plus by itself, but most stores buy for about 1/4 of what they'll charge for it. (At least that's how it worked when I sold Magic cards to the stores way back when.) You might be able to get more if you ebayed it, but it's easier to just sell it all in one shot. I might even let the store's inventory tip the scales; if there's stuff you want to get from them right away or very soon, go for the store credit.

I agree with Orodruin. Most of your stuff is beat up. It would be hard to sell that stuff in the junkion and ebay. Plus using ebay you would have to deal with ebay fees. I say take that deal for cash or store credit.

You'd be surprised how much beat up stuff sells for on eBay. I've sold bots that were little more than pieces for $20-$30! You never know when you're going to come across that one bidder that needs that junker you have so that he can complete his bot!

I'm hearing and listening. I'm one of those suckers on e-bay from time to time that pays way too much and these bots are mostly the ones I had to buy also to get what I wanted for less. I suppose turnabout could be indeed fair play.

you know what? I was originally going to say sell it to them for credit because it'd be worth not having the hassle of listing all the stuff on ebay. but then I thought of this:

box it all up and take it to the post office and see how much they'd charge you to ship it. if this place is gonna make you pay to ship it to THEM, which I think is kinda shifty, I bet you're gonna lose about $20 that way. so if it costs $20 to ship it, you'd only end up with either 120 cash or 150 store credit. I'd bet you could definitely get more than that on ebay, esp. since you'd be the one charging shipping.

Thats true about eBay, some people do pay rediculous prices for essentially junkers.

I remember I sold a decent G1 Stunticon (the White Contach) for around £5, when I picked him up at a boot sale for 20p.

Depends if you wanna do the work. I'd say find out how long this offer stands for, try and sell stuff on eBay, and then sell to the store. Can't lose anything that way.

Well you've got about 44 items so you'd have to get $4 per item to equal what they are paying especially after ebay fees, paypal fees, etc. Obviously, some will go for more but some may go for less.

Like someone suggested you should figure out how much it'll cost to ship via the cheapest trackable method to factor that cost in.

If there's something you want at the store now or you think you'll want to keep that credit for future toys then go for it. I've been sitting on a bunch of stuff that I've been meaning to sell but haven't done it yet. Being able to sell everything in one big swoop is handy.

"Being able to sell everything in one big swoop is handy." - bigkid24

My sentiments exactly and one of the big reasons I'm leaning towards sending it all in to the store rather than break my back doing the e-bay thing. I'm still torn between store credit and cash since I need the latter more, but then again, since I'm a Cybertron collector, I could use the money to get a majority of the new and upcoming releases, thereby saving ,myself the gas money, and the money in general, later (but I would miss the hunt for sure). Also, anybody have a list of on-line stores/people that are interested in buying bulk collections, such as the items I listed? Thanks, all!

I'll do the Trailbreaker pics next! Reissues? Ha! No money for that! I barely have enough usually to grab the Cybertron stuff and the ML Avengers I'm amassing (when I can find them, that is). I'm a fairly strict G1 guy. For the right price, sure, but seeing as how Ricochet is STILL $18 at TRU here and I rarely saw/see anything less than $15, there was no way I was/am picking anything up. Back to my thread topic, keep that advice coming! This is really helping me out!

Looks like S&H will be around $15-20. I suppose it's a feasible investment then....
