is the ugrade set really worth the 80$ price tag.
just for the set even without the figure.

i have a classics rodimus figure which i got during the summer for the amazing price of 15$ and i love it
but this armor, it looks fricking amazing!

im just a college student with not too much cash. and i want this set really badly.
but im wondering, is it really worth that much money?

And WHEN is that taking place?

You wanna try waiting out for FP's stuffs only to hope that they're still available at sane pricing the next time you see 'em?

    I say "Good Luck!" :rip

It is absolutely worth the price. BBTS has well over 400 of them in stock, so you should have plenty of time for you to save up enough monies.

ok, here's an alternative coming from a guy in a similar situation. I don't have a job and zero income.

This is awesome and i really want it too and can earn the money easy from my folks. but Trust me that you'd rather have the spare money than protector. I'm sure that's not what you want to hear, and it's something i don't like saying and telling myself...

but really. it sucks having no money. and if something happens and you all of a sudden have to pay some sort of BS fee.. it's not fun having to scrape it up when you don't have it.

and you are more than welcome to take my advice with a grain of salt. i won't be offended. I just know how it is.

    BUY HIM...YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
And you'll regret it even more with each passing month till you get one and then you'll be like "Why didn't I get this guy sooner????!!!" so get him now before he gets sold out and then you have to pay more for him......get him and join the rest of us who own him. Become one with the Protector Collective....

With that now said....The Protector set is awesome.

I think he takes most of the good stuff from all of FP's other releases and rolls it into one package. I'd get him if I were you.

i totally agree with where you are coming from. i personally dont have fees or anythign to pay for.
but its always nice having cash around for thigns here and there. like it would probly do more if i used the cash for goin out places or w/e than buying a toy.

but then again, i feel like i might regret getting him like Tyjos said.

once i get the cash, ill just have to decide. maybe if i can sell some of my own figures that could help

if any1 is interested id be willing to sell my alternity red convoy if your interested. or any of my other figures on my trade list if you want to help out hahah

I'd just watch the stock at BBTS. As someone mentioned they still have over 400 in stock right now.

Well if the money is tight for you I'd advise against buying him so you'll have money for emergency (what good is a tf when you are desperate for money?) But if you can come up with some deposable income and really love it then go for it. I love all the FP products so far and even though I will get the MP Roddy the Protector set is still too good to pass up. I will eventually get the Shadow Commander and Defender toy (and Shadow Scythe if I can find it) too when I have the money. Those third party products are killing my wallet. :(

When you get right down to it, these are luxury items.

    Judge accordingly.

I'd recommend him if you have the extra spending cash. If not then I'd say he's not the most important thing to have. I mean yes he is cool, but man is he pricey. I'm glad I have him but i'm not sure how to recommend him to ya.

I really like him, and think he is great, but when I was in college atleast, there were 1000 other things I spent what little disposible income on. I honestly wouldn't get it, it is nice to have a little extra cash on hand for beer, pizza, and women. I say invest fully in the college experience. For me it was worth a lot more than a piece of plastic.

Having visited a few college campuses in the past year, I was amazed at how many incredible looking women were there, and wondered why there wern't this many when I was in school? Thing is, there were, we just didn't appreciate them at the time. Live it up, enjoy the experience.
