I just bought a few cans of Bosny acrylic epoxy automotive paint. I'm planning on using it as a sort of primer for my upcoming customs.

I recall reading something about incompatibility between different kinds of paint, but I can't recall where I read it or which types of paints are incompatible.

Would "acrylic epoxy automotive paint" be incompatible with the Tamiya Acrylics that I'm planning to use for the details?

    Thanks!

The epoxy may dry too smooth for the regular acrylic paint to adhere to. If the acrylic epoxy is a water clean-up (not likely) then there shouldn't be any incompatibilities chemically. Why not just spray on some automotive primer instead? It's no doubt cheaper, and dries a lot faster, and can be used with virtually any top coat.
