Hi guys. I was so busy these days that I forgot to keep an eye on this.

I knew that thw Walmart both DVD and Blu Ray editions of ROTF would have the extra IMAX scenes.

But I only seem to find the Blu Ray edition on Ebay. Will they release a DVD vertion with the Imax scenes in the future or not? Is it released already?

Help me please, I ahve a friend who is traveling next week and I want to get that release.

Maybe you should look on the Walmart website instead of ebay. I bought the blu-ray so I don't know if the regular versions include the IMAX scenes.

EDIT: I looked on their website and the regular version doesn't include the IMAX scenes - which makes sense anyway since the aspect ratios and resolutions probably require a dual layer disc to do. Honestly, I wouldn't stress over it. The scenes are great if you have the right television and player, but if you have just a regular TV and regular DVD player it may not look all that different.

They don't have info about it. They ahve a Big Screen DVD version, but I don't know if it's the sam as the Blu Ray set.

No, it's not. Walmart's website says on the blu-ray version that the IMAX footage is included. It doesn't say that on the regular version so my assumption is it's not included.

There IS a standard DVD version WITH the IMAX scenes. During the IMAX scenes, the aspect ratio changes from 2.35:1 to nearly full screen. Mixed in with the IMAX scenes are about 70ish seconds total of additional footage. It's a two-disk set called the Big Screen Edition. The artwork differs from the other standard DVD editions so it's pretty easy to tell them apart. The Big Screen Edition has a black cover with the title printed in silver along the right side, and a big Optimus face taking up most of the cover. It exists, I know because I'm watching it right now. Best of luck. I hope this helps.

I can tell you right now, Wal-Mart Canada DOES NOT have the Big Screen edition of this movie, and most likely never will.

If your friend from up here wants it, I suggest you buy one for him and have him pay you cost+shipping. Thats what I did. Though I have been waiting since Oct 23rd, when mine was shipped, for my copy to arrive in the mail. This is getting stupid..

Wal-Mart Canada fails big time. They have screwed us out of many exclusives in the past, and just when they were gaining our trust with exclusives like MP Skywarp, and other recent exclusives, they go and pull this crap...

Oh thank you Mumps, it was perfect timing since my friend asked me to try to find it on wlamart.ca and I didn't find anything.

It's sad you can't get this version even when you have Walamrts there. I will ahve to wait for my friend who will travel to USA next week anyway.

    Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if you can toggle the added IMAX scenes of the walmart edition on and off on the dvd version (not bluray)?

I just have to say one problem with the DVD/Bluray....
When its a Imax Scene, the screen goes to full screen... It messes it up for me alittle.

I wonder how it goes in countries without Walmart. I've seen many "walmart-exclusive" toys but I never checked if DVDs are available too.
