I just got a BW Transmetal 2 Blackarachnia and it's kind of dusty. I tried wiping it with a damp cloth and it still feels like I should clean it more.

Is there any problem if I toss it into some cool soapy water for a little while? I don't think I ever had anything with chrome so I'm not really sure if it would damage the paint or not. There's some little paint chips around already.

That doesn't sound like a good idea to me, but I could be wrong

I just use a small bristle duster made for computer cleaning and such or a can of air when I need to clean my money drainers off

Yeah didn't really think so, I guess I'll go get a brush then. Thanks. :)

I'd imagine that if there were a flaw of some sort in the chrome(like a crack or gap of some type), the soapy water soaking would let it work it's way in there and make it worse.
