I'm looking to start a collection, as of now I'm not very up-to-date with the toylines. I tried doing a search and came up with nothing, so I ask: What are the differences with "deluxe", "legends", "leader", "voyager", etc.?

Sorry for the noobie question. :)

That's cool, always happy to help a new collector.

Those are the size classes. From smallest to largest: Legends, Deluxe, Voyager and Leader. Some toylines have Scout (which is between Legends and Deluxe), Ultra (between Voyager and Leader) and Supreme (bigger than Leader).

Those are the names of the different size classes. Legends is the smallest, then scout/basic, deluxe, voyager, ultra, leader, and supreme.

Size class - Transformers Wiki - Teletraan I

EDIT - Took too long after hitting reply, I see. :)

I remember back in the Beast Wars days when it was just Basic, Deluxe, Mega, and Ultra.

I hated the Armada-era's size classes though. Didn't they call them "Super-Cons" etc.?

Yes, but that was because you'd been "super-conned" into buying crap. ZING!

Starting a collection, eh? Not often you see someone DECIDING to reduce their standard of living whilst increasing Hasbro's profits.

Living without a Transformers collection is some Third World shit. No way to live.

Yeah, a lot of the Armada toys... weren't that great (especially after the awesome-ness that was R.I.D.)

Haha! Well, I don't plan on hitting it big too quickly. I have a few japanese and movie toys. I just want to expand abit. Just didn't know all the terminology and differences. :)
