    So not sure if it was mentioned in the comics but...
    If they were gonna destroy our sun....
    How exactly did he expect to survive the supernova that would result after its destruction?

    They explained they'd use the Sun's energy to create Energon, therefore, I suppose the Supernova would be absorbed by the Harvester to create energy, thus, using the sun's energy in a roundabout way.

    I like to think the Harvester was basically a giant solar panel to absorb the Sun's energy.

    They weren't going to make it go super nova. The exact opposite. They were going to suck all the energy out so there'd be nothing left to super nova.
