Does anyone know what the differences are between the Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 games downloadable between the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Master System? Not sure which version to get or whether it makes a difference. Clarification would be much appreciated.

Get the Megadrive ones and if you simply must have more the Master System games are still pretty amazing in their own right. Just stick with the regular ass Sonic games, the Master System spinoffs I skipped so can't vouch for their quality. 1 and 2 are the bomb though.

Is there any practical difference between the Megadrive 1 and 2 and the Master System 1 and 2?

Other than the difference in graphics (8-bit on the Master System, 16-bit on the Mega Drive/Genesis), nothing I can see.
