    I just ordered SDCC Bruticus for $184.99 (Cheap for eBay, isn't it?), please nobody go complaining about how I should have waited for HTS, and I want to know;

Will Blast Off suffer from GPS? Blast Off seems to be the coolest of them all, right after Brawl, and has the best paint job... but I just don't want him to crumble to bits after what, a week?

If he does, is there any way to remedy this?

I don't think so. They've made a new type of gold plastic, haven't they? The type they used for 07 preview Starscream?

I really should have read the Wiki first... I found out that recent ones rarely have it, as far as they know, and only plastics with swirls are prone to it.

I would say Blast Off should be safe. When it comes to exclusives Hasbro has been pretty good with quality as far as I know.

Hard to tell without better pics but he doesn't look Metallic to me, just taupe.

As for remedy, the only thing I can think of that _might_ help is minimal exposure to UV light, meaning daylight.

He looks just Brown honestly. The gold was just on the heavily photoshopped promos.

And wasn't the gps issue solved a while back anyway?

Either way, your Blast Off should be safe.

protoform starscream actually got it but as others have said blast off's color isn't the type of color prone to crumbling.

Thanks for all the input. I read on the Wiki they're using a different plastic now, and it's mostly solved as far as
    know.
IMO SDCC Bruticus should not disappoint.

Metallic tfs are still being affected including kup and thundercracker, but it does seem to be more of a rarity. If you have any doubts, I'd go with one of the other decoes.

There was a type of swirly, golden plastic Hasbro use to use on figures that was INCREDIBLY fragile and would often break in your hands or in the packaging.

The odds today of a fig released with it are silly low, but not zero. It's safe betting odds that SDCC Bo isn't made of it, plus he doesn't actually look like he could be affected.

Yes, Blast Off does have GPS....in fact, the one at Botcon had a piece that crumbled off in the display case.

Simple remedy is to take your Blast Off and dip him in Gorilla glue. That should keep him safe.

    :p

    Sorry   I couldn't resist :D
