So I've got to return a PCC Combaticons set, but I don't have the receipt. I do have the receipt from a PCC Protectobots set from TRU that I am keeping. (That receipt simply calls it something generic like "5pk combiner.") My question is whether I can return the Combaticon set to TRU with that receipt for a cash refund.

I'd prefer to do that than return it without a receipt to Wal-Mart or Target for a gift card.

Sorry, it won't work they use the UPC code. Best bet is Wal-Mart or target.

TRU use to request you're phone number when made a purchase so if you didn't have a receipt they could look up the transaction via your phone number. I'm not sure if they stopped doing that when they started the rewards card program. However if you have a rewards card, they may be able to look it up that way.

I did this with some Marvel figures I got during two separate 2 for 9.99 sales, so I got 2 figures during each sale. However, I didn't want them all, so I returned one figure from the first sale and one figure from the second sale using one receipt.

    Did not have any problems.
