Yah, so a friend has the new Bishoujo Ghostbusters Lucy figure/statue, but the legs are slightly too narrow to comfortably fit into the slots in the base.

Now personally I would just shove them in there, but he had a bad experience with a Gorillaz Noodle statue/figure, where he bent the arm a bit and the whole thing snapped off... eek.

Anyway, what would be the best way to bend Lucys legs? Hairdryers, I feel, are too uncontrolled and likely to burn/melt if you're not careful. I would recommend boiling water, reset and cool with cold water but this is a premium figure and not a paint ap light action figure, would the hot water affect the paint?

Anyway some suggestions would be much appreciated!

I would use the hair dryer, set to low, held about 12 inches away.

It won't burn or melt anything and you can get a quick judgement of how much give the plastic is taking at any moment.

You shouldn't need much give in the plastic. Just go about it slowly.
