I was taking pictures of a few items yesterday and I noticed something unusual about my minibot Tailgate. Notice that the 3 last lines of the bio file were cut and pasted at hand: Flickr Photo Download: Tailgate.back . I've seen this on He-Man packages but it's the first time I see this on a G1 Transformer package. It's been graded by AFA so I assume that it was made by Hasbro/Takara employes to fix an error in the text, but I'm still curious to know if other collectors have stumbled across items like this one.

Better pic of the bio: http://www.flickr.com/photos/patobot/4713635360/sizes/o/

Looks like they were correcting the spelling of ferrocobalt. I bought Tailgate as a kid, and I know I have his tech spec at home. I can check it tonight and see if it was corrected.

That means that the one with 'ferrodobalt' is the very first release.

I googled ferrodobalt and found some more info over there: TFArchive - Transformers Toys

There are 3 variants for the bio card.

    1st release with 'ferrodobalt': http://www.tfarchive.com/toys/techspecs/original-era/1986__Tailgate_(a).jpg
    2nd with printed sticker: http://www.tfarchive.com/toys/techspecs/original-era/1986__Tailgate_(b).jpg
    3rd with correct bio: http://www.tfarchive.com/toys/techspecs/original-era/1986__Tailgate_(c).jpg

I'm glad to have learned that little piece of info today :)  .. Thanks for the input guys!
