Ok, so, I'm about to ink my Soundwave/Blaster illustration - I plan on using microns of varying sizes and will hopefully be as steady as I can. I have it traced on Bristol a little over 150% of the reproduction size - do you think that will be enough? I look at the comics by IDW as well as some other TF art on DeviantArt, and the lines are so crisp. I don't think I can be as flexible in Photoshop or Painer with it so I was going to do it by hand. Does anyone have any suggestions or should I just go with what I was planning on doing all along? I just dont want it to look too amateurish. Thanks!

When I talked to Jake about how he did the comic we worked on he basically did the same as you. Reprinted it and then did it by hand then rescanned it. You can get rid of the blue lines in Photoshop by utilizing easy tools.

So yeah... I think go with your instinct man.
