Does anyone know how well the first reissue predaking sold in japan? I heard that he was a shelfwarmer and a poor seller so I do not think takara will ever reissue the king again sadly. I would even buy him again because I love that toy so much.

From what I can recall, he could still be found in various stores well after his initial release. Even last year when I went back, I saw a couple of Predakings in a few smaller stores that were selling for very reasonable prices compared to eBay.

As a complete side note, if anyone is ever going to Japan, specifically Tokyo and you want to find older Transformers, check out the small cubical like stores in Akihabara. Essentially they're stores where people rent out cubicals where they can sell their stuff and the store gets a % cut. Best place to find good deals on figures. Last year one of them was Transformers heaven, they even had a Lucky Draw Lio Convoy with the Galvatron colour scheme.
